Melea Stephens is a Licensed Counselor with Wellspring Christian Clinic. Originally from the Birmingham area, Melea received a B.A. in Human Development and Family Studies from Samford University. She went on to complete a Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University in Texas. Melea has presented her research in the development of a marital inventory and her work with women's issues and spirituality at the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Melea is experienced in treating individuals, couples, families, and group systems. She specializes in issues concerning couples such as: marital dissatisfaction, sexual intimacy, communication, divorce, separation, and infidelity. Melea also enjoys working with individuals of all ages struggling with self-esteem, identity, life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and addictions. Melea resides in Birmingham with her husband and 2 children.
